Engine noise....lifter???

I have a 2010 SGT with a 103 c.i.d. engine. Back in April I installed the TTS 100 cams and new Black Ops lifters. There has been a tapping noise between 2200 and 3000 rpms since the install. I'm sure a defective lifter is possible but how does one determine that? Since there is no adjustment... Being from the old school. it sounds like an old Ford with one rocker arm too loose. I've put about 2500 miles on it this year and it runs great - but that noise !!!??
Any help would be appreciated.

Are they making noise all the time or just times that the oil pressure is low like hot idle?

I'm guessing you didn't install adjustable pushrods based on your statement.

While a lifter that doesn't pump fully is always a possibility there could also be a chance your pushrod could be rubbing the inside of the pushrod tube, or you could have some added play in your rocker arm assembly.

Check out the Rocker Lockers at this LINK.

It could be that one of your rocker shafts is looser than the others, rotating and tapping the bolt.

Even if that's not it, if you go into the engine, might as well install these, 90% of the folks that do notice a quieter top end.
