I need Your help My friends. I have a 2008 Champion kit on it and I am PM,ing the drive shaft. I have greased the back u-joint and I need to know if there is a front u-joint and if there is how do I get to it to grease the front joint. I took the cover off where You check and put in You oil and I can see where the drive shaft goes on the spine coming out of the engine. Oh! by the way I have a solid axel back end under the kit. any suggestions?

Thanks

When you have the rear U-joint disconnected, just ease the rear of the driveshaft down and pull it out rear ward, there is a front U-joint that will come out with it. It will have three pairs set screws that hold it on the splined shaft from the transmission. I used to have manuals that showed it, but can't find them now.

You might check here ... CHAMPION TRIKES OF ARIZONA | MOTORCYCLE TRIKES | TRIKE PARTS | TRIKE KITS (championtrikesaz.com) .... and maybe they can help with a manual or pics.

I believe I answered this question in your other post. The front U-Joint is a sealed unit and is not greaseable without removing the driveshaft because there is no clearance in the frame opening for a fitting. I pulled mine and replaced both U-Joints just to make they were ok at 30K miles. The original joints were still on good condition, but I wanted to be sure.Drivesgaft Apart.jpg
