First of all Hello everyone! I purchased our 2021 Tri Glide July 3rd and now has a little over 3,500 miles on it, no iron butts like we used to do but after 50 years of riding a good choice for us. Question is after asking at 3 different dealers including the one we purchased from even using HD bars no one seems to be very comfortable doing the work. I can’t believe changing handle bars at a dealership using their products can be that complicated? Before anyone asks no I don’t work on my own bikes anymore. Unfortunately I’m starting to think boy hope I don’t have any big problems! Just wondering anybody else have had same problem? For the record we live in eastern NC. Thanks for any thoughts.

I have a 2021 tri-glide and just had papa zook's rake kit and krome werks 2+2 narrow handlebars installed. Made all the difference. I had UNB customs in Denver, NC install rake kit and my dealer in Asheville installed bars. UNB could do both, but I did not have the bars when they did the rake kit. I would highly recommend UNB, but they are very busy.

Thanks for the information I appreciate it. I do remember talking with them a few years ago about building a sidecar for a bike I had at the time. Remember them being very professional and easy to talk to.👍

Handlebar swap

I had mine changed at Panama City Beach Rally . Went from stock to KST Mayhem 12 inch high . Swap done by The Fairing Exchange in about an hour. They also did painted inner fairing and sound system at the same time. Excellent work and no issues at a great price!

I went with the KST 6 bend in 1 1/4" on my 21 CVO TriGlide. My dealer (Warhorse Harley) said the cables were too tight and installed cable extension kits. They didn't give me any grief and were happy to help me get it right.

My dealer was happy to install the set I bought from them. It ended up costing them money, as they f'd up my outer fairing and bought me(and installed) a new one.....

YMMV

Don't know about the dealers you went to, I do know HD parts for 2021, had been hard to come by, not sure about now, have not tried to get anything from HD lately

Dealers

I actually have ordered a few parts and no problem getting them, no was just surprised at the general negative attitude at doing the work. I know in the past the shops I did business with in the Midwest were completely different. I’m retired but do work part time at a large car dealership and although some parts are hard to get and new car inventory is terrible we still do everything we can to satisfy a customer, guess I just expected the same from HD shops.
