Dealer give you a hard time about DK tank lift?

I don't understand that attitude David, my dealer will gladly put on anything I hand to them.

Well….I am coming from the Jeep world. Dealers of many types of automobiles are very Leary of installing non-factory parts. In addition many a person has been refused warranty coverage due to aftermarket add-ons….hen e the Magnusson act (sp?)

Besides, I’m not accusing anyone of anything…. It was a question.

Side question… Do you find that dealers are typically skilled enough to know proper installation for accessories that they don’t stock? No blame just really curious!

In our area there are a ton of trikes, our dealer can barely keep them on the showroom floor and they have a couple of techs that work on them exclusively. Anything from DK comes with excellent instructions and if I can't do the add ons, I give them to my service guy and always get them back with the bike.

Nice! Damn . Good to know. In the Jeep world, my experience hasn’t been stellar with dealers. I was actually asked where I got my half-doors because they looked really well built. I was asked that , about the factory half-doors and by a factory mechanic ;)
