The lights just to the left and right of the exhaust in this picture. Are they back up lights. And if so are they operated by the reverse switch or aux switch?

@woody is correct and they only come on when reverse button is activated and you press starter button. I have only seen one CSC conversion before where the lights came on with the reverse button is pressed. I did kinda hack mine where they stay on anytime in reverse and think that CSC should do that with all of them as that's really the purpose of reverse lights in the first place.

Thanks for the info I kind of thought that but seeing how they are not hooked up I wanted some assurance before I pursue hooking them up. Can anyone tell me the color of wire that I need to find for the hook up

ironhorse54 and I just checked our 2021 DCT’s with the CSC Encore conversion (converted in October 2023) and the backup lights came on both bikes when the reverse switch was pressed WITHOUT the bike moving.

Also in this pic on the right handlebar I have identified a switch
It seems to do nothing. Im wondering if this is something added from CSC or something that a dealer has done?

Are you sure it's a switch? If it's the black thing attached to the silver bracket, it almost looks like a fold out cup holder?

I think they may have finally updated the install on the reverse lights to do that on newer models. I know when I had mine done in 2016, it got wired into the reverse circuit under the seat but only powered up when starter switch got pushed and reverse motor got power. But a guy I ran into a couple years later had a Viper conversion like mine that worked like yours. I found a source (multi connector) under left pocket that was energized when reverse button was pushed. I spliced into that and then ran wire to the CSC connector for the reverse lights under the seat. Now mine come on with reverse button only.

Ok, just took a quick look at install instructions for the Viper which is probably the same for Cobras and looks like just how I thought and the reverse lights get wired into the starter solenoid so it would only get power when starter button is pushed in reverse.

That is a great PDF file. Just a heads up for @PastorDaveMcc another place to check that may have resources you can use is directly from the CSC site. You have to scroll down to the Retired trike section and you will see other downloads related to Cobra/Cobra XL that may be helpful.

Oops, I just reread your post and my response. On the right handlebars, that whole row of switches above the brake master is an aftermarket add on. It's used for adding different aftermarket wiring to control many different functions. It's quite possible that the far right switch was never connected to anything. You may have to open up the top and inspect the wiring to see if it is even wired. If it is, there's no telling what it is supposed to control and you would have to trace the wiring.

Yeah it is active in the box I just can’t find where it goes without taking all the covers and fareings off 😒 I’ll keep looking

Yes on the Cobra and Viper the back up lights only turn on when the trike is actually moving in reverse.

This is just the way we have always done it. Maybe we need to look into pwhoevers method of turning them on?

On the DCT Encore they turn on when reverse mode is engaged, the trike does not have to be actually moving.
