Crackling noise

Recently, I've begun hearing this popping/crackling sound when I park my trike in the garage after riding for short/moderate periods. It seems to be coming from the underbody. It sounds like 'poprocks' and subsides after a short period of time. Exhaust piping was modified to an upgrade. Don't know if this has anything to do with it. Any ideas?

New exhaust. Your going to hear popping and cracking for awhile until it goes through a bunch of heat cycles. Rick

My Suzuki with Cobra Straights did it all the time.
