Rosy, on our last trip out west, we rode from Grand Junction straight through to Killeen, just over 1000 miles in 20 hours, so we could sleep in our own bed. Sweet doggie was out front waiting for us at 5:30am. How did he know?

Have a safe trip and a wonderful time!

Sweetly, we have been on the road since December 8th:
Have visited Albuquerque six times..one I flew in..the other I drove through from CA to New Mexico...NM to CA...CA to NM....NM to CO...CO to NM and that's where I am right now in Albuquerque....we have been living out of our suitcase since December...
We are on our way home to NH, which is 6/7 days away..depending on the weather..if it gets too bad, we will stay an extra day..till all is clear..
This trip was not planned to be this long..it was just to be with relatives for Christmas and then head home..not so much..my Father passed away while we were together a few days before Christmas 12/21/2013....hospital..cremation...and take care of his things in CA, before now heading home..
He will be buried with full military honors this May in MO.
So, Northeast, no more blizzards, we are coming home!
Hope everybody has had a great Saturday!

Rosy & Janice

Thanks Leo, we have had a ball, that's why we call it an adventure. We have seen more in the last few months than we will ever see in our life time.
This country of our is so magnificent, words can not discribe it. Janice and I keep saying, can you imagine coming out here in a connastoggua wagon so many years ago, WOW!
Hope everybody has a great day as we continue our adventure.

Rosy - By being away so long, you may have inadvertently followed my snow removal program at your home. The program, as you know, is "if you leave it alone long enough, it will melt". :D

This snow removal method has worked again for me this year and the ground has made a re-appearance. Might take an extra day or two up your way, but be patient.

Safe trip home... ThumbUp

Well, the trip went well. We are in Pecos, TX, for the night.
Thank you Andrew and Diane, that was very nice of you.
Warren, did you receive an email from me a while back? Yes, I kinda took your advise about staying away from NH, but for the wrong reasons.
Hope everybody had a great day. 76F @ 6:21 PM here in TX..
Blondie Gal, We are in the same state! LOL

Rosy @ Janice

[Rosy, sorry to hear about your father, you and Janice have a safe trip home.

Our thoughts ad prayers to you and your family. I did not know your father, but he had to be a wonderful person - cause he left us a great son.
Tom & Pam

Thank you very! You are all wonderful people, and our adventure will continue for another six days or more.
I went through El Paso, TX, I have not been there since 1953, when I flew in from Puerto Rico. My Father was stationed at the Air Force Base there. OMG, has that town grown or what!!! I could not believe how large El Paso has gotten.
Have to have the oil changed in the vehicle, will do that in Odessa, then stay overnight in Abilene. Any good places to eat in Abilene, hey, how about you Texans out there in TT Land, give me a hint.
Then head out and may be stay in Shreveport, AL.
Saw one trike on I 25, he looked like he was touring, duffle bag for a back rest, and one of the figures from Duck Dynasty on the trunk! LOL
So, good night TT Land, don't let the bed bugs bite!

Rosy & Janice

Good morning in sunny Texas. Heading out soon to Odessa to get oil change, then to Abilene for the night.
Hope Y'all have a nice day, Yer hear! Fixing on getting some veetals!

Rosy & Janice

I haven't heard from anybody living in or nearby Abilene on a good place to eat, so, we are going to walk across the street and go to Denny's.
We could not believe the oil wells..WOW....and they are drilling new ones, so, can anybody tell me why there is a shortage of oil in this country and why the price of oil is about $95 a barrel. I know we sell it, we don't have enough refineries, we use more than we make, or is it, the oil companies are greedy!
Oh well, we will still pay over $3 a gallon for gas and they say that is a steal compare to other countries!
Hope everybody had a great day...off to Shreveport, AL tomorrow...

Janice & Rosy

Mornin - +20 & snowing this morning.

Rosy, gas was $3.60 here yesterday and crude oil was trading at $102 a barrel. There's not much in this country that isn't tied to the price of crude & greed. I think the latter has been the determining factor for quite some time now.

Back in 1990 I remember hearing oil was $60 a barrel and we was paying $1.50 a gallon. So oil goes up $40 and gas goes up to $3.50
you do the math my head hurts. And BITD. Diesel was cheaper than gas ( $.75 gas. $.49 diesel ) heating oil an kerosene too!!!!

Cloudy with misty skies here in Shreveport, LA and 60F. Not bad, we will take that on the way to the cold Northeast. So, far from CO, on our way home we have put 2315 miles. I still say this is a magnificent country, from the dessert in Utah to the lush green grass, blossoming trees, and green pine trees here in LA.
I am sure Janice and I will wish we were in CA when we get home to the fright Northeast. BUT, it will be great to get home!
Bruce and Deb, had a dream the other night, we were going to Canada on a trip! WOW, must been bad ice or warm beer or maybe we will in the future.
Hope everybody had a great day.
