I've never tried Black Friday shopping, except online. Somehow long lines and vicious women trying to yank something out of my hands doesn't sound appealing……

Morning all. Last day in AZ. Back to my babies tomorrow (HD & VW trikes and Harley the cat). Sunny and heading up to 70'F here today. No fun without trikes or roller blades.:qpnmt:

No black Friday shopping for me. Naw-baby-naw I do as much as I can online to avoid being trampled by crowds.
Tis a great day to be alive. :Coffee: yum

I completely agree about avoiding the stores and crazy crowds on Black Friday. As mentioned by others, you can also take advantage of special sales on the internet.

As an example, I just ordered a great vest from Fox Creek Leather for 15% off their regular price. Sale is through Monday. ThumbUp

Janice is walking round here with a great big smile on her face. She did retail for 13 years, work on Thanksgiving night into Black Friday, Christmas Eve, and other holidays, No More, she is retired. She is so happy, hurray, because most nights, I drove her to her stores during rain, sleet, snow, whatever the weather.
Bozo, bring back some warm weather with you..that way you can ride when you get home! I know, you ride when it is below zero, but it will be more comfortable for you.
Save a Turkey, eat more beef!!
Hope Y'all had a great Thanksgiving.
Tony from Ive....thanks for the pecans for our pies! Shake those trees to get the nuts down.

Well the Marine City Mariners are state champions in football this morning! They defeated a very good Grand Rapids South Christian that was trying to repeat! 49-35 It was a hard fought game with each team answering each other's score! Growing up in suburban Detroit, we did have school spirit but no where near the support of the whole town! The towns people lined the hi way out of town to send them off to Ford Field in downtown Detroit. And, several hours later, did the same to welcome our heroes back!

Morning all! Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Today I get to head out into the cold to try to get some shopping done (have I mentioned that I HATE shopping??!!), and just hope that all the Black Friday shoppers are still home sleeping! ;)

First, I need to find some ambition..... :Coffee:

I'm with Cheri: shopping used to be in my blood, but lost it somewhere along the way. On my way to the Fort Hood Commissary to get MORE, in spite of a fridge and freezer plumb full of turkey, ham, and roast beast. Kitty and grand kids (not in that order) will have us cleaned out by tonight, if I don't go. Did gift-shopping back in August, so if we add some gift cards and lottery scratch offs, we're set for the holidays! Happy weekend, folks!

It was a Mad House out there yesterday. I was out there shopping for little stuff, Christmas shopping all done last week.
Needed, bread, foaming soap, a bigger feral cat feeder, and cookie bags for Christmas cookies. In and out of each store, not looking for anything else, still a mad house. Parking lots jammed full of cars.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Still haven't found the ambition to go out yet! IF I manage to find any, it'll be for groceries - hubby needs food to bring in the truck next week.

The only real Christmas shopping I do anymore is for my United Way "child" - my company gets a list of kids every year, and those of us who volunteer are given anonymous information of what "our" child wants/needs for Christmas. The bank officers wrap the gifts and deliver them to United Way for us. This year, mine is a 16yo girl who wants clothes.

Boy, you got your work cut out for you..first thing I would do is look at the flyers you get in the mail to see what the styles are, then go from there...WOW..good luck..you got sizes?
I used to do that, now it is a gift card to the place I know she shops, so she can pick and choose the style she likes...
Many..many gift cards are as Christmas presents now, Home Depot, Lowes, beautician shops, restaurants, Harley Davidson shop, oil delivery for the home, and stores, easy and we know they will use them, better than a tie, or sweater they will never wear! LOL

Gift cards here too! My boys get American Express gift cards, hubby gets Lowe's. For her I'll probably get one or two hoodies or nice tops. I have her sizes, so the only problem is finding ones a 16yo girl would like - I had boys, and it's been a LOOONG time since my nieces were that age!! ;)
