Enjoy the sunshine, Veronica. I'm going to finish cleaning up flowerbeds this afternoon. Still not "warm" but will be good in the sunshine :D

Good morning, before good afternoon!
Rain here, in NM, good for them, Not rained for long time. Draught still going on. Aquafir will dry up in 10 years if they don't get lots of rain. People are saying, place will be like it was in the 30s' dustbowl and lots of people will leave the area and farms will be lost.
Hope it keeps rainning!

Rosy, that's how it's been here for four or five years. Last year and this year we've had just enough rain to keep the trees alive. In 2010, we went ELEVEN MONTHS without a drop of rain in 100+ temps! Our watering bill has been enormous, but our trees and flowers are doing pretty well, and the tomatoes that I started from seeds are ready for transplanting, so we may have maters by the rally! If I ask real nicely, son may come over every day and water for us while we're gone! Hope more rains come soon for our neighbors in NM! pepperpepperpepper

Maybe you should do what my son did in DC when he was gone for long periods of time. He bought at watering system from Lowes to hook into the outside water shut off, to water the plants. He had small plastic hoses going to all the outside plants to water. You can set the time, date, how much water the plants will get. By time time he came home, his maters were as big as grapefruits! It really worked well!
Ask John L., he works for Lowes. Good luck.
I have my sister-in-law watering our house plants while we are gone. Can't put house plants out yet in NH, way too cold!

Good idea, Rosy, but son is used to our vacations, and he will likely move in while we're gone to keep an eye out on the place! Cooling misty rain now, so we won't need to water much tonight. Will get some MiracleGro for veggies tomorrow and move the baby maters into bigger pots! pepper

Raining like crazy now; thunder, too. Need every drop of this rainstorm! Wish we could bottle the rain AND the temps for summertime! pepper

OK, we brought the temperatures with us, well kind-of, it's 37 here in NM, not good! Well, good for a New Englander, but people around here are freezing. Tomorrow back in the 70s', which is good.
Have a great evening everybody! Hope your day went well.
