You are correct Leo, time to wash the truck, hitch the trailer, pack the Florida bag, pack the travel bag, pack the electronics, pack the trailer, and get my mind set on driving to Florida with stops in Danbury, Ct, Va, SC, and Florida.
Hurray, almost time to go to see people we haven't seen in a while and make new Friends!
But, the weather Gods are not making the stay in Florida very nice, temperatures are in the 60s, but why complain, that's 30+ degrees warmer than NH! :pepper:

WOW Big Dog, how did you know? I did burn my money, and that's the reason I don't have any! LOL :(
Thank you very much for the info, just in case we hit road salt on the way to The Snowbird Gathering we can get them clean. Have you noticed how black trucks look white after a good salt bath? Not pretty at all!
See you in a few!
TT Land have a great day!

Well, I have been put on notice, WE ARE Not going to run the truck and trailer through a truck wash at $65, we will borrow a garden hose and wash it in Florida, bring your soup!

Rosy, Not sure why you are stopping in Danbury or what route you are taking, but you folks are welcome to overnight here. It may be a better split between your home and VA. Just let us know...

Thank you very much Leo & Jeannette, maybe we will take you up on your offer at a later date.
We plan Danbury because we are not sure of our starting time, so we don't want to be on the road late at night.
I missed a stop, I think our next stop will be White Marsh, MD.
We plan on taking our time getting there, so we are limiting our travel time on the road.
Can't wait to get started!
Too bad you two are not going to The Snowbird Gathering, maybe next year.

Leo..Jeannette..
Made it to East Windsor last night before the snow started and we took refuge in a motel, midnight.
We are going to get going today and try to push for Emporia, VA.
The guy is plowing the motel parking lot and I went out and cleared the snow off the truck to get ready to go.

Wow! It is a mess out there today. They are now expecting some rain and slippery conditions. Stay safe!

Afternoon all. Couple inches of wet snow overnight. Me and the cat are sick. Neighbor took care of my driveway. What a guy. Heck, I even took truck out on a job midweek, instead of trike.

Rosy - Sorry I missed you - - I'm in (and out) East Windsor twice every week night. Glad you made a "safe landing" before the weather turned crappy around 10:30 p.m. (+ or -). Sounds like you stayed somewhere near NJ Tpk Exit 8?

Stay safe and have a great trip. ThumbUp

Andrew - you guys take care of yourselves. Having you and Harley not feeling well is not allowed... ThumbUp

Right on, Leo. Weather for me held out OK until southbound Ex 11 (about 11:30 p.m.) on the Tpk. Made it the rest of the trip OK, but going home in the car at 2 a.m. took 2 1/4 hrs instead of 55 mins. Roads really sucked and other drivers were worse than the roads. Very little plowed at that time and mostly had to travel in tracks of previous traffic. Naturally, no matter how fast you're going, the guy in back of you needs to go "just a little faster". Everybody thinks they're "Johnny Rocket"... :D
