Change, Remove Rear Tire?

I need to remove/change the rear tires on my 2006 GL1800 trike. where can I put the floor jack to do one side and then the other? The manual said to jack up under the pumpkin, the problem is it is offset. Plus I need to raise the body so I can remove the tire. Please help.

I have a Harley Trike (CSC conversion). Took mine to Discount tire and they did it for me.

As I recall, it wasn't at all expensive. My tires were fine, CSC initially sent the incorrect rims - so, I have to get them changed. Discount tire changed the rims, balanced them and reinstalled them. Think the cost was kike $46 total.

I want to white letter the tires; it works best if you have the tire off the bike!

On my California Sidecar I have had both rear tires off more than a few times for repairs or maintenance. Besides a floor jack, I usually use 2 jack stands to steady it. The floor jack will do the lifting and grunt work but the jack stands will mostly steady the rear end. Luckily my rear end is fairly centered and has large plate below it. I still have to be careful when lifting so trike doesn't tip too much before getting the jack stands under there. I just wanted to throw that idea towards you.

I am not familiar with your frame, on most trikes I have seen you will have to jack on the frame to let the rear end drop down to wrestle the wheels/ tires off, use jack stands so it does not tip on you

On solid axle trikes you need to jack up the trike @ the frame so the axle will drop to get the rear wheels/tires off, make sure to use jack stands so the trike does not tip, block the front wheel before jacking
