I was reading in the Wing World magazine in Stu's Q&A section. Someone wrote in that CSC Viper conversion kits have an inherent problem with the way the trunk is mounted directly to the new conversion trunk/fender unit and NOT the frame as originally done causing "Error" message on the CB radio due to a bad ground. I have not gotten that particular message but I did notice that ever since I had it converted that sometimes when I get closed to something large like a side of a tractor trailer or gas pumps the CB goes into RX mode and screeches until I pull away. The fix stated in the magazine was to run new grounds to the frame from both antennas.
Anyone have this issue with CSC Viper kits (or any other kits after conversions) and does my issue seam to be caused by a bad ground?
