This is my Intruder with the Voyager rig off of her. Thats a 195 65 r15 rear tire on her. It took about 120 LBS psi to seat the tire. The handling and ride improved a ton after putting this on. To compliment her I put on a Dunlop 404 on the front and got rid of the Brickstone which caused a lot of problems. The Bridgestone is a dual compound tire with the center being a hard compound with each side being a soft. If you run it at factory settings you get a wobble at low speeds and cupping eventually on the tire. With the car tire you get a softer ride because of some sidewall give and because of the flatter profile it doesnt want to follow the dreaded asphalt joints on the road.

With what I was using it for on the Voyager trike rig -no. From what Ive read about using it on a regular street bike is that with a car tire the bike will need more body english to turn into the corner. This is one of those things where guys will tell you it doesnt work or cant work. All I know I read about it on the Suzuki LC forums and after trying the Darkside if I bought another cruiser I would definitely put another car tire on it.

Between the smoothness of the ride, the ability of the tire to absorb bumps and jolts the stock suspension couldnt get rid of, the ability in rain to shed water for traction. These are just some of the things that it did for me. Size wise the tires are about the same in width and height and the added plus side is you get 20,000 plus miles on an Lc versus 8-10,000 on a stock rear and more tread on the street. The only downside I found in getting it mounted is a lot of dealers wouldnt do it so I went to an independent shop. When calling around I found custom bike shops would do it also. They had no issues with mounting custom tires.
