The barrel of any gun should be pointed away from people whether it's loaded or unloaded, and away from all body parts, and always in a "safe" direction!

Did a google search. Came up with some old postings from “defensivecarry.com”.
2013 poster said the holster was made by Bianchi in the ‘80’s and that Safariland also made one. He further stated that this is the same holster Steve McQueen wore in the movie “Bullit”. He also said the holster is no longer made.
