Can I get a trunk on a Towpac adapted bike?

I just bought a Honda VTX 1800R with the Towpac conversion on Ebay.

Can it be fitted with a fiberglass trunk like the one that comes with the Lehman Trike Body Kit?

If not is there any type of trunk that can be fitted on it? There appears to be a lot of space between the bike and the wheels. Can stuff be carried or containers be mounted there?

I have never seen a fiberglass body/trunk added to a Voyager or TowPac kit like yours. However, I honestly don't know if it can or cannot be done. I'll be interested in seeing if anyone else replies with suggestions for you to add something like that.

My thoughts are, you will need to fasten it to the bike frame or the TowPac frame but not both. The bike still needs room to move a little when you turn and one wheel comes off the pavement. Large saddlebags on both sides might work better or do you want it mostly for looks instead of storage.

Thanks for the insights. I need storage for when I commute. I got a 750 Shadow that I strap my tools to with bungee cords. But taking them off and reattaching them is iffy. I have lost stuff, stuff falls off and gets damaged, and worst of all, it gets rained on. I wont melt but but wet stuff makes things difficult. :AGGHH:

That's the story of my life. I keep asking why can't this be done. Cell phones with an OS is one that I have been crying for for MANY years. I used to carry a PDA and wondered why we could not get an insert for a phone. It had bluetooth and WiFi built in.

Got to remember that with the Towpac you got the original rear wheel and axle that supports the Towpac unit thus you'll lose the majority of any space trying to custom fit any type of trunk around that tire.

I see you have a top trunk and saddlebags. Maybe larger saddlebags will easy the cargo situation. Also, have you give thought to making some linear stowage boxes to mount on the Towpac in the area between the fenders and the connection to the frame. But, doing something like that may affect your handling and steering.
