Brake Job

what could i expect to pay for a brake job on my 2012 Goldwing with motor trike kit? I guess i would need to replace both front and rear....,ive got 25k on the factory pads.Thanks

Maybe, but not for sure. Trike kits tend to come with different brake pad life spans. My CSC kit had good size calipers and pads wore well. My Hannigan comes with tiny calipers and the pads are 1 1/2X 2 inches and wore out in 18,000 miles. Check both before assuming anything. I replaced my pads on the front wheel at 25K but keep in mind... that front wheel is now stopping something that weighs a lot more than it did when it was designed as 2 wheels.

YUP, What Fred says is on the mark. Motor Trike brakes are quite large so I'd be surprised if the needed to be replaced. Changing the front pads should not be expensive and you could probably do it yourself. :xszpv: :xszpv:

Yes, you should not need to change the rear pads, they are very large car rotors and brake pads. They should last a very long time. I have 40K miles and no signs of wear. I have done the fronts, not that difficult. I took apart one Caliper and really cleaned them, lost fluid so be careful to you do not have to re bleed.
