I just ordered a Titan 1500XLT lift from Excel Equipment in Greenwood, IN. They gave me a price shipped to my local at a price I couldn't find anywhere else. Closes to their price was J&P and I would have had to drive 3 hours each way. So I should have this beast next Monday or Tuesday. I wanted a lift that could handle the trike. Plus on this one if the fact that I do not have to use air. Comes well equipped too.

Here is a video that J&P has posted.

Keystone, you will not be sorry, I also have one and love it. It raises to 45", is very stable and works great. 1 idea for you, make some spacers for between main table & side boards so that it goes & stays as wide as possible, my TG tires barely hang off, barely.:pepper:

Do you use air to lift it? What PSI and how big is your tank? How easy does it lift the TRI? How quick does it lift to the 45 inches? How long have you had it?

90-100 psi is the minimum requirement for the air. You can use air over the hydraulic or just the manual hydraulic pump with your foot.

yes air if I have it, but I have used the foot pump a few times, just to try it. My main compressor is an 80 gal set at 100psi, but when I moved I used a real small unit with maybe a 10 gal tank. It goes up easy & at an OK speed not real fast, which is fine with me, it gives time to keep an eye on things as it goes up. I think I have had it about a year.

Or, you can do this.... All made out of scrap (2X6 for the front tire and 2X10 for the rear tires) lumber I had laying around . Works GREAT and the ramp portion is removable so a person can get around easier.... :xszpv::xszpv:

Area that the lift will be stored is ready. Once it is here I will make overhead storage for the extensions, support rods and the stanchions. Black area is where the lift will go.

You plan on stashing it against the wall when not in use? That might get old after you've drug hundreds of pounds around a few times. I know I wouldn't want to even think about dragging the Handy I work off, I uncrated it and assembled the heavy sucker, it was quite the work out.

If I lived in a perfect world I wouldn't have to stow it against the wall when not in use. But I don't. Garage is small as it is. My truck and the wife's car is a tight fit as it is. Another option is to park my truck over it when it's not in use. Bad idea where I live. It would have salt incrusted slush on it all winter long. This lift comes with retractable castors that make moving it possible. One of the reasons I picked this lift. Yes, not having to move it would be great.

I wouldn't want to park over it also, salt would be a killer.

that garage is just to clean and organized.... LOL Hell, I wish I had a garage. I would need to put the lift in my basement however I have a very low ceiling so wouldn't be able to lift it too high.

It's not that clean that often! Normally twice a year. Early spring to rid it of the salt/sand that come off the vehicles and in the fall when we put summer stuff away.

I am glad I have a garage. A 2 car garage and space for a wood working shop were high on our list when we bought our current home. I have a 14X22 shop in my basement. Tight at times, but I hade most of my equipment mobile. So I have a Unisaw, 17" Band saw, 8" joiner, thickness planner, miter saw station, router table and large Drill press. Only the Drill press and miter saw is stationary.

where did you park your trike when not riding, I ask because even when I had a huge shop I parked my TG on the lift table and now that I have a tiny 1 car garage I have to, no extra space. My TG is only a few inches wider than the lift, so there is no real loss of space. I may have ask you this before, I remember someone said they parked in their enclosed trailer. Just an idea:D:wave4:

Looks like it's going to make it one really nice work area! You and your buddies will be able to get a lot of work and good time spent there!!ThumbUp
