I put a blind spot on my rear view mirror. Now I don't care for it. I'd like to replace it with a 2" thin mirror. The mirror has the double sided sticky tape to hold it on. I can use a heat gun to get it lose or I can use goo gone to remove the spot mirror without hurting the main mirror.

What is the best way to remove it? Thanks,

Goo Gone....And a just a little heat......Or like i did last week to remove two strips of heavy double tape foam that was holding a small fan inside of the roof of my Slingshot....Heat from the sun and a putty scraper took it right off...

Thanks for the reply's. I looked on You Tube, several people recommended fishing line or dental floss. I think before I try to take it off, I'm have to find the one's that I want. Great ideas guys.

rsz_img_0537.jpgI used the dental floss. Worked like a champ. Went to farm-fleet, big RV store, O'Reilly auto parts. Finally found what I need at Auto Zone.

2" round with no backing. The other one stuck out about a 1/4" Thanks for all the advice. Jerry
