Batwing Fairing Question

Your probably right, but I would never dismiss my customers that way and I've been a gunsmith/dealer in NJ for 40 years.

You could of received a phone call or E Mail on the situation . But today’s business practice just doesn’t work that way anymore. I thought that only our government gives phone numbers and E Mail addresses and never answers.

The disease has spread

Despite my previously mentioned reservations, I went back to Memphis Shades website and looked at the 7" windshield again. This time they had it listed in "Solar" along with "Clear". I went ahead and ordered the "Solar" 7" windshield. Came in yesterday. Not sure what "Solar" is, but this looks clear to me. I made the swap and had just enough time to put a couple of miles on at high speed before some tornado was supposed to hit. Needless to say it was a might breezy. I was running down the back end of our local race track watching some debris blow across the road a few hundred yards up and glanced down at the speedo and realized I was doing over 70 and hadn't noticed it. Had to beat feet back home though, it was getting pretty threatening, but I think this new windshield might make the difference I was looking for. If the trike wasn't at the dealers for 1000 mile service, finally, I'd be doing some more testing.

In AZ, purchased a new 22 Free Wheeler I’ll pick up when we’re home in CO. Going to purchase a fairing, more than likely a Memphis Shade. I can’t find any pictures of the back side of them, hopefully they will be plain and simple, no radio for me. Anyone have some pics of the back side and mounting? I’m tall so I’m wondering if the 9” recurve windshield would be best for me? Want so see over it, but want all the protection I can get. Thanks in advance for the replies.

I also run a faring, but added DK tank lift and DK wind deflectors. That stopped the wind from coming under the fairing and over the top of the tank. It puts the wind under the tank and on the motor where it belongs. I had the fork fangs on a street glide and the DK setup worked as well if not better, but the fangs didn't put the wind on the motor like the DK setup. At interstate speeds 70 to 80 mph I feel just a slight breeze. Perfect. As far as windshield height, looking over it is fine 'till you get caught in rain. The rain runs up the fairing, up the windshield and straight into your face. I run a taller windshield that I look thru so this doesn't happen.
