Avon Trike Tire Leaking

I have a Avon Trike tire on my 2012 Goldwing and at around 10000 miles (8 months old) it developed a slow leak. My friend is running the same tire on his Goldwing trike and and now at just under 10000 miles (16 months old) his developed a slow leak. Both are leaking at rim. I was wondering if anyone else has had a problem with the same type leak?

May not be your problem but I experienced a slow leak on a tire from the rim because I didn't check the pressure enough and let the pressure get too low and corrosion built up on the rim.Tire store had to clean rim and put a sealant on and the slow leak disappeared. I keep my Avon at 41 psi and it rarely loses more than a pound or 2 over several weeks.

I've had trouble with a very, very slow leak on our front tire for over a year. Have not been able to determine where it was leaking but just as a long shot put a couple wraps of teflon tape on the threads of the tire stem and screwed the cap on snug after putting 44 pounds of air in the tire. I checked the tire a few minutes ago and it's still holding 44 pounds after 3 months. Maybe I found the source of our leak.
