I know the guys and gals are getting ready for the winter months but who are still riding?

I live in sunny Florida and usually get to ride year round even when it gets down into the teens.

Lets hear from those still riding. ThumbUp

Thanks

I'm still riding. We had a sunny 62 degrees in beautiful Ortonville today. I keep the trike ready to ride year-round. The bikes will go to bed sometime in the next few days.

Nice 72 here in Central Texas. Can pretty much ride year round!

Both trikes down with mechanical issues that should be resolved on weekend. Nothing going away for winter. When its 0'F out, I will be riding. Done that, been there, will do it again.

I'm still riding in Omaha NE but then I never really have put mine away for the winter. I just put stabil in the gas and plug in the battery tender. It's not unusual to have some days during the winter here when the temps get to the mid 30's or 40's. As long as the roads are free of snow and ice and temps are above about 35 I will ride.

I live in S. Jersey and ride all year long. I keep my trike alive with the 750ma battery tender. I have cold weather riding clothes and I too go riding unless there is snow or ice on the road. Ride on.

doing a parade this Saturday ,this is the start of our parade season for the Shriner's here in central Fl. This will be the Stallions first parade and then two on Veteran's Day, had hope to have the siren and air horns installed by now to use during the parade maybe later, the Stallion will be the second only motorized vechicle in the Legion Of Honor in the Shrine per Shrine INT. here in Tampa Fl. . so far its been a real hit..11 full size flags on the rear and custom seats and dash cover ,and now has a color matched soiler

I will be in Florida in January. I am retiring at the end of the year. I just bought a place in central Fl. so we can ride all year round. I dont know much about where to ride.

Temp about fifty today and wind speed about the same but i ran 40 miles just because the voices in my head told me too!

Road Rider,
Check with the Florida Department of Transportation to see if they publish a map of scenic routes. Virginia and a number of other states do.

Riding the year around. Still in the 70's here.
Usually look for a couple of weeks in winter for down time on trike for serious maintenance.
Since we didn't have any real hurricane threats this year, I'll just wait for temps to drop into the 40s (like that's not often around here)

Road Rider - Frostproof is a great jumping off place for day rides in Florida.

Tampa/St. Pete area to the West is a nice visit, then there is WDW in Orlando (and who doesn't love spending a few days at the mouse world?), then there's Daytona for biker get-togethers all year, and the Indian River area to your East is beautiful.

Want more? A few hours South puts you on the bridge to Key West, a must visit experience!!
Feel adventurous, try Jacksonville Beach, Pensacola, or Panama City for miles of beaches. Take a few days in St. Augustine for the history of Florida and a great tourist experience.

Guessing you'll have so many places to ride when you get here that you'll wonder why you posted this thread in the first place.

Riding in the NYC suburbs is risky. We use our trike for long haul vacation travels. Took our trike out yesterday to give it exercise and to enjoy the fall foliage. Trike is back under the covers with battery tender attached. Have lots of travel plans for 2014. We are heading west!!

Was 47* when we left house at 9ish, went towards cape cod, got back home around 3ish, was in the 60ish then. felted good for sure. No snow, ice I'll be out riding, got to make up for lack of riding this summer cause of heart issues. Give me a decent week or so I'll go to bike week in Daytona.
