Looks like a neat place Fred, nice pics.
My Father retired from Conrail Started as PRR then to Penn Central he was a Track Foreman. I guess I have a little sweet spot for the rails in my heart also. So much of Industrial history there not just trains but the huge foundry's to make the big Iron awesome place. Fred

:GoodPost: Fred

Thanks so much for posting.ThumbUp

You are right on target when you talk about our Industrial History and how it effected our great Industrial Revolution.

I also have a sweet spot for the rails.:)

I belong to an HO Scale model railroad club. Many of the members run the Conrail and Penn Central trains on our 2100 s.f layout as shown in the Trike Talk "Hobby Forum".

Thanks for the memories, Fred. I don't get to that part of the country like I use to. Chambersburg is as far as I get to now days. My first memorable train ride was when I was 16 yrs old. Traveled from Washington, DC to Pendleton, Oregon by myself. Five days and four nights. Was quite the experience for a young West Virginia Mountain William.
