Are there companies out there that make different wheels other than what comes stock from the trike manufacturer?
Another question, are the rear wheels basically car type wheels and I would just have to know what the specs are for a given wheel?
Thanks,
Larry in East China Mi.

I kind of thought that might be the case. I'll contact them and get the specs and go shopping!
Thanks,

Motor trike rear wheels are 5x114 (five lug & 4.5" bolt circle) Tremendous selection of wheels in that size.

You are missing the most important number ----BACKSPACE.

Will the wheel you choose clear the suspension or hit in the wheel opening.

The backspace for the Motor Trike is 4.25"

I just ordered a set from Billet Specialties custom made for the Motor Trike. They have a lot of different styles and finishes

I'm well aware of that but I don't know the backspace specs for every trike manufacturer's wheels,,yet.
I'm working on it,though.

On a 7" wide wheel like you have on your trike,4.25" backspace = +6 offset.

California Sidecar for a Valkyrie is:14"X6.5" 4X4.25" 4 lug spacing with 4.75" backspacing.

CSC is actually using a 14" rear wheel? I wouldn't have thought anyone would still be using that diameter anymore as tire selection is getting pretty spotty.
6.5" wide wheel w/4.25" backspace = +25 offset

For Champion trikes, go to the Champion site - http://www.championsidecars.com/ - click on the bike that is triked and toward the bottom half of the page you'll find installation instructions for that kit. All the specs are in there. Champion uses mostly the same wheel across their most of their line - 15X7JJ, offset +35mm, 4 hole bolt pattern at 4.5 in. but here are a few exceptions.

The specs I put out on this thread were from California Sidecar them selves. This is a 10 year old kit and 14" was the "standard" for the era.
