What effect do you think the larger wheels and tires will have on the ride and handling compared to the smaller wheels and tires on the older trikes?

A little harsher ride for sure, my 21 CVO does not ride as nice as my '15 did. The coil over shocks are better than the air ride on my 15 so that evens things out a bit. I still run 22# of air in the rears, 36# in front but I cannot be as aggressive as we were on my "15. Just my opinion but the front tire is the weak spot on the 19" wheels, I'm still getting good wear on it at 11, 000 miles but it just doesn't stick like my Avon trike tire did. Now that HD went to the 19' wheel on all models, perhaps Avon will develop one for the Tri.

What Zammy said.

The CVO Tri Glide, a few years back used what is now on the 2025 Tri Glides and the smaller sidewall makes for a rougher ride on a Trike that is already very harsh from the factory.

You can lower the PSI in them, the same as before, and it will help, but not as much. (see video below)

The larger diameter front tire will make the front end absorb bumps a little easier, and it will also make the steering a bit heavier, but provide a little better high speed stability.

If you want to run a rear tire reversed for better traction or tire life (see video below) there are not as many 19" rear tires to choose from as 16".
