2019 Honda DCT / CSC recall fix done... like getting a whole new trike!

Back in Sept. of 19 when I purchased my trike new the dealer told me that the TPMS light would always be on because of the missing rear sensor and that CSC was working on a fix. Well this past winter I received a letter from CSC stating that a "fix" was available and I need to setup a time with my dealer to have it installed. Got it done today, took the dealer 3 hours to install the "kit" what ever it is? All I can say is WOW! it's like a whole new trike. Shifting is so much better now in all modes. Good job CSC!

How could that effect the shifting?

CSC Recall

Had the recall done on my 2018 CSC in early May. Bike never shifted properly since day i bought it. Was in shop 3 times to fix erratic/harsh shifting in all gears. Was able to correct everything except the no shift out of 1st gear when accelerating hard. CSC said this recall would fix that and the TPMS warning light. They were right. Shifts great now and no more TPMS light either. Painful process finding someone to do the recall. Selling Honda dealer that sold me the trike said they could't do it, the shop that actually built the trike said no, too busy building trikes.

Talked to a CSC dealer 125 miles away last fall about the upcoming recall and they said they would do it. Once they had the kit this spring i tried to set up a appt to get it installed they said they changed their mind were too busy and would not do it. Big Thanks to Dan's Trikes in Monroe, NE who agreed to source another kit from CSC and perform the work. Their work was flawless and only took them 2.5 hours. They even called a week later to do a follow up and make sure everything was still good. Highly recommend them. I will only use them from now on for anything i need done to the trike.

It's sad that the repair industry is going in the crapper right now. I'm a master tech for Evinrude/Johnson outboards and Mercruiser sterndrives and we are just swamped with work. We are the only "honest/reliable" shop for Evinrude around and we are getting work from several states now just because we get it done right and in a timely fashion. Just last week I repaired a motor for a lady in Georgia (I'm in Ohio) because all the dealers around lake Lanier are 3 months out. She had computer issues and just mailed me the computer, we fixed it and mailed it back and shes boating now and it only took 6 days including mail time.

I have another CSC dealer within 25 miles of me but they wouldn't do the recall. My selling dealer is 118 miles away but I went back there and they took care of me. Shout out to Ohio Cycleworx!

My DCT/CSC is scheduled for this next week at Fairfield, Ohio Honda for the fix. They are also CSC dealers and were recommended by Will at CSC. The TPMS monitor being on doesn't bother me however on my recent trip my DCT hung in first gear which greatly bothered me. I'll be glad to get it repaired in time to ride it to Maggie Valley.
