2017 HD Freewheeler Balance Point

John.......Welcome to Trike-Talk.....:wave4:I'm sure some one will chime in soon with the info you need....ThumbUp

Per the owners manual (ref sections on lifting the bike) the balance point for the Freewheeler is located between the center of the clutch housing (you can reference the derby cover) and the the aft edge of the ignition cover on the engine. This is a crude estimation (+/- a couple of inches) but may get you close enough for trailer purposes. On my 2017 Manual the references I stated are on pages 154/155

If you want to go for the exact measure from a datum point on the trike, the method used by pilots and A&P Mechanics to measure and calculate the center of gravity of an airplane will get you that specific point. All that process requires is a few bathroom scales, a tape measure, and some math (The web is full of simple methods for doing this). If you get stuck, I can create a reply to this post with the math and method... FAIR WARNING: It ill be a long post :Dorag:
