2017 Freewheeler Radio

I want to have stereo system on my 2017 Freewheeler and I do not have an after market fairing to place one in. Thinking about mounting a radio in the trunk space. Looking for ideas for speakers and if someone has already added one to there bike.

Welcome to Trike-Talk Dan,:wave4:Can't help you with the radio..

But i'm sure if someone can dream of a way, Someone will build it, And let you know how to do it yourself......:clapping:

Welcome from central ND! I have a phone mount and listen to music from the phone thru a Scala intercom system installed in my helmet. Sorry, can't help you with a radio though.

Kristie I have been asking people left and right about radios and it seems nobody wants to answer. I have been looking at Ronsmotorcycleradiosystems.com but its $465. I like the idea of a radio in the trunk but what about speakers ? Hope we get some help with this. Rick

17 freewheeler radio

welcome im using lower fairings attached to engine guard same as the Harley touring bikes with Harley boom audio speakers with a kicker amp that is Bluetooth ready installed under seat and a ipod nano that's Bluetooth also with about 1,000 plus song stored in unit sounds great looks great very little wiring hope this helps as far as a stereo concerned don't know how you would switch channels and were you would mount a antenna on a freewheeler

Right now I have an iPod mini with about a gillion songs and use Bluetooth headsets for a wireless setup. I tried my Samsung telephone mounted to a dash plate I made, all right, but a pain. Upgraded to a 7" iPad for GPS and music, too big and hard to hide or remove quickly. I just found a 7" GPS with Bluetooth and MP3 player on amazon for under 50 bucks. Should be here soon. That will give me a very visible GPS screen and music too. Do yourself and your friends a favor, use ear buds. The fidelity you will get with speakers will suck, and you are forcing your riding buddies to listen to your music. You will have to TURN IT UP to hear over road noise and loud pipes. Also, buy cheap ear buds. The 100 dollar pair don't sound that much better than the 10 dollar pair, and you will burn them on the pipes. step on one, or loose them. Better to wreck a 10 dollar pair than 100 pair.

Good Luck

Hello. I am new to the site. I will tell you what I decided to do to my FW. On ebay I found one. Shark makes some for motorcycles. If you find one you like, then check it out on YouTube before you buy.

Welcome to TT Joseph!

I have the Kuryakn Speakers and iPod system. They work ok. I put the iPod in a windshield bag.

Boss 500

I have a Boss 500 that I installed. It sounds great, I just put in a jump drive into it with about 900 songs or listen to the FM on it. I comes with everything you need. The only draw back is you can't turn the system on with the remote so the amp has to be mounted where you can reach it to turn it on. After you have it turned on, you have a remote to handle everything else. It was only $80 for the whole system and sounds great. They have a better, and a little more expensive, system where you can turn it one with the remote so you can mount the amp under the seat.
