2014 Ultra Trike

Thinking of upgrading from 2011 to 2014 or 15 , are they worth it , or not much different ??

it depends on what you are looking for. The 14/15 have twin cooled heads. Very nice newer looking style. Those that have them say they ride smoother. Down side from my point of view, most accessories do not fit the newer model. You will have to wait for the aftermarket to catch up. The GPS is hard to learn, the CB radio is now an option. Your call if you are happy with what you got then why move up. If you like the new looks and the newer trike idea then GO FOR IT. It is your money. Good luck

This is my first tri glide. 2014, can't really talk about the others but I know what I bought is good. I like the features, just like anything that is new, have to figure it out. Comfort is great, all the extra room for the passenger makes it easier on the driver. I did a stage one download, Rinehart mufflers, SE breather and a hd download, helps put a little punch in the ride. Jim

I've owned four Goldwing trikes and a 2010 Harley TG. Now we have a 2014 TG...
pizza really like the new TG' I'm a gadget guy, so I like all the new features...I'm still undecided on the new trunk shape, but that comes for all the years riding Ultra with the square tour PAC...but I'm getting used to it. The GPS isn't that hard to learn, but I've had several vehicles with built in GPS and they all really operate about the same. I still use my Garmin 660 GPS for long trips, more user friendly...
preformance wise, more power than the 2010 TG, but honestly the TG will never match the wing for power and smoothness....just stating the facts. But I do hate the foot position of the wing, killed me knees and hips....
land Harley will always be the king in accessories, both HD and aftermarket....plus the TG is a factory trike

I have a 15 Tri Glide for heavy touring...if I was not into long distance travel for days on end I would have the Freewheeler...not saying you can't tour on the Freewheeler but I wanted the protection from the elements...the Freewheeler is way more fun to ride IMO...the 14/15 Tri is a better ride than the 09/13 Tri..I would buy in the winter to get a better deal...

I'll weigh in too. The 14/15's (Rushmores) have beefier forks up front which give a more planted feeling in both the trikes and the bikes. I traded a gorgeous 12 Limited for a 14 Limited and it was far and away a better riding bike with all the upgrades they had made to it. I traded my 14 two wheeler for a 14 triglide and the ride is great. My buddy bought a 2013 Triglide and we swapped bikes for the day and did a 250 mile ride combo of interstate, backroads, town, and urban riding. I thought the 13 was not as planted in the turnsand I definitely liked my (14 radio) better. Just my .02 and worth every penny.

I just moved from a '12 to a '15. While it is not a "night and day" difference in the two bikes, to me the improvements to the front end along are worth the $$$. I also found that all the accessories I had on the '12 moved right onto the '15 except for the windshield.

Go for it! I just traded in my 2009 Tri Glide (95,000 miles) for a 2015 Tri Glide. Right out of the box this thing runs much stronger than the 2009 did. The motor company adopted most of the stuff we all did to the early versions of the trike: 255 cams, tranny sprocket, GPS, to get the bikes road ready. Also, the improvements made to the front end are really noticeable. The bike rides smooth. While I like the parking brake design with the foot pedal, I still won’t use it much. If you’re a ‘Infotainment System” fan the Rushmore bike has a lot to offer. It will be a while before I get the hang of it.
Bottom line is that the new Rushmore Tri Glides are well worth it. Virginia weather allows for year round riding and this thing is ready to go!
