2014 E-Brake PAWL failure @ 13,800 miles

The parking brake pawl (ratchet mechanism) stoped working the other day. I push down on e-brake pedal and no clicks. It springs right back up.

I could not get the small spring to clip into it so I removed the pawl to find a piece cracked off. Dealer ordered me a new one under warranty. P/N 83000018
