All,

Another question for you guys here. Does TMS sell a blank seat pan for a 2013 Stallion? Or, do you have to buy the entire seat? I have a seat shop here in Denver (Bitchin Stichin) that is going to make me a touring style seat for the Stallion. The seat will be about 4 inches back from the normal seat and lower. Yes, you give up both the passenger seat and the backrest.

I just need a blank pan for them to build on. That way, I keep both seats just in case.

So, would a direct call to TMS work or do you still have to deal with Motor Trike? I find that Motor Trikes attitude towards us Stallion owners is not what it should be. Any ideas?

Seat Pan Woes

I called TMS (I think, ask later) and was informed that the have no seats for any Stallions at the warehouse. When I asked if they had any used or blank pans, the replied that they would have to ask the manufacturer of the pan to see if one could be made. I shudder to think what THAT would cost.

Right now I am thinking of either having a fiberglass pan cast made of the seat area or, if I can find the right person, an aluminum pan made. I cannot even find a salvage seat anywhere. I'm not giving up though!

Anyone out there know of a used seat? Anyone modifying their seat that might be able to make a pan off their pan? To help POOH OUT?

With only about 850 Stallions being made this might be a tough item to locate. Good Luck

Seat PAn

All,

I am patient as a Wyoming wind! LOL!!

I'll find one or, I might have a fiberglass cast made.

Thanks all for the help!

Everyone that I know who had their seat repadded (including myself) used the original pan. I had left my Stallion with Ultima seats for a week so they could evaluate whether they would attempt to make seats for the Stallion and they decided "NO" as TMS would not give them the seat pans at a reasonable price. Good luck on your challenges ahead.

All,

Richard from TMS called me and told me the manufacture of the seat pans would make me one for $185. I jumped on it as finding a used one is not easy! This will make for an expensive seat but, it is for my FAT butt! As long as the workmanship is top notch, I'll pay the $$$. :clapping::clapping::clapping:

Thanks to TMS for helping out on this!!

TOMG,

I just wanted both seats. That way if I do decide to sell the Stallion down the road, the buyer will have the stock seat. The new one being made sacrifices the passenger seat by about 4 inches. Enough room for luggage but, not a human. TMS is shipping the pan to me now as I write. Hell, might be at my front door today. Thanks again for all the advice!!

Just joined - I'm needing a 2013 backrest passenger pan only

I have no idea if I'm sending this message correctly since I just signed up.

I purchased a 2013 orange stallion #855 last year that I love to drive.

I'm open for ideas; Need to make a bit more room in back passenger seat area in depth so my dog's carrier will fit for the rides that she comes along with us. Don't want to use the existing passenger's backrest pan so we can use it whenever I do have a passenger.

The recent posts were very helpful.
