2012 Goldwing Trike????

Now that there's a 2012 Goldwing I wonder who will be the first to have a conversion kit? Had my heart set on owning a Goldwing Trike within the next year but this changes things. Not really sure if there's alot of change with the bike for 2012 and if it can be converted with existing conversions? I sure don't want to be waiting around for a company to create a kit. I love my Roadsmith and want another.

My local dealer says that there will have to be some changes to the conversions but companies aren't going to know till the get a new Goldwing and check it out.

My thoughts are that if anyone wants to trike a new Goldwing, they might as well go with the 2010 model. After the 2012 model is triked, a lot of the new body modifications will be removed anyway.

Same situation with me, looking to buy within the year. If too many changes I don't want to be the first to work out the kinks. I guess we will have to wait until the trike companies get a 2012 to work with. I wonder if that spells discount?

I'm betting it will only take new body molds for conversions.
Me thinks everything underneath is still the same!
Won't be long.
Wish I was still a tool & die maker (younger-not retired). I'd be opening a shop to make the new mold clamps for the trike manufacturers!!!!

Thanks for everyones opinion I like to hear what everyone else thinks. I can get my hands on a 2011 Wing with a Roadsmith Conv at a very reasonable cost. We'll be able to see the 2012 Wings at Americade and I can't wait to demo it. I can't ride on 2 wheels anymore so I am praying that Honda will allow me be a passenger with my husband being the driver. Does anyone know their policy?

Do you all think the 2012 GW is ugly? I think it looks pretty good.......:beerchug:

For me it's a little too angular from certain perspectives - seems to be trying to copy the Beemer. But after people get used to it, it will become the norm for the next decade or two while our present bikes will become the well-remembered classics of yesteryear. It's called progress even when it's a roll-back.
