I am thinking of doing a Fuel Moto 107 kit. 777 cams, B-heads,10.5 compression ,FM head pipe,E-series mufflers,Aim clutch and Power Vision target tune. On 2014 Tri Glide. Has anyone done one or similar? I was wondering about reliability ( longevity )? Fuel mileage before & after? Is 10.5 compression to high I know the wet heads have 10:1 from the factory. I plan on cross country riding. Fuel mileage now 2 up packed for trip is 32mpg@ 70-75 mph. Bike is all stock. Any insites would be much appreciated.

There are lots of cam threads on our forum .... try searching.

If I were hot rodding my 2014:

TTS-100 cams
TTS Tuner
Fulsac 2-1-2 ceramic head pipes
4" Reinhart mufflers
Black Ops lifters
S&S adjustable pushrods
rocker lockers
SE Clutch pack

I agree with HDBOB TTS 100 cams or Woods 222.The 777 is more of a midrange to upper end cam,Compression at 10.1 would work well with either cam.Keep in mind these machines are heavy so you want all the low end torque you can get.As far as head work if there are any head porters in your area go talk to them. The last motor i built was a 95 CI Road Glide,it had 10.25 to 1 pistons and SE 211 cams with 508 lift,my flow bench guy said when ever possible have your heads flowed to your cam lift rather than some big number just for bragging rights, with that said he made his numbers match my cam lift this motor made 101 hp with 105 torque while using stock size valves in the heads, this bike surprised many people with bigger cams and expensive heads.Do your home work and ask questions.

Most builders have told me to keep the CR below 10.5. 10.2 seems to be the pick. Probably due to the weight and heat and possible detonation issues.

I almost went that direction, but after talking with Steve at GMR and Frank at Dragos I decided on the HD 110 Bolt-in kit. Mainly because of the heat we ride in in Texas, NM and AZ.

I don't remember all the science behind it, but the main points were
1. The extra 300 lb's of a trike equals the motor making more heat trying to push it
2. The thinner walls of a 107 bored cylinder equals more heat and it cannot be safetly bored larger for a rebuild (if needed)
3. The area we live in and mostly ride in is a hot area to start with and on a really hot day, heat can be an issue on a stock motor

My decision came down to the S&S 106 Jug and piston set (these are new jugs, not bored out HD jugs) and the HD 110 kit

If you live in a cooler area, the heat may not be the issue for you that I was worried about.

Talk to Jamie at Fuelmoto about your build and that it's going on a trike, he is a straight up guy and will back up his work.

On the plus side, his 107 builds make some really good power.

On the cam and compression, IMO once again...let Jamie at Fuelmoto design your whole package for your trike, they know the components that really work well together...don't guess on something as important as your cams and compression
