What Did You Do To Your Freewheeler Today?

Wiped the bugs off after a nice ride for pizza and beer although the pizza sucked ! Never had a bad pizza at this place but today was the day. The ride gave me time to test the rear shift arm extension and finding neutral . I honestly think along with making neutral easier to find it actually shifts thru all the gears better. One drawback is all the slop that HD allows between the shift arms and the pivot shafts. I dont think that helps anything with gear changes Just silly .

I’ve never had a real problem finding neutral on my Freewheeler, but there has been a lot of discussion lately about extending the rear shift lever. Well, I’m a sucker for gadgets and gizmos, so I had to try this “neutral assist”.
I went for a ride and made numerous complete stops in both first and second gears. At each stop, I easily slipped it into neutral.

95° and sunny. Took 5 days and headed to TN to see my brothers new place.

Horne's Restaurant in Port Royal VA. A must stop on the way down.

Backyard at the brothers in TN. Only level piece of ground back there. Thought the "Tip Over" light was going to come on.

Some rest stop off I81 in VA. Getting toasty out now. Hit 96° at this point.

Only shade we could find at my daughters house in VA on the way home.

Was 99°F when I got back to NJ. Came to a complete stop in a ten minute construction back up on Rt 40. That was fun. Got to say the Freewheeler never complained about anything in all that heat.

Been raining since I got back from Tennessee but got a break in the clouds at lunch time and took a run up the highway to my favorite lunch spot. Spent most of the time coming back dodging traffic out of Philly headed for the shore points southbound. Fun run home, but the Free doesn't want to go back into the garage. Unfortunately I've got some work to do.

Added a Sundowner Seat (for two wheeler rather than the one specifically meant for the Freewheeler) as it’s considerably wider at the back end…wife joke!

Also added right side DK Customs 1” footboard extensions…dealer is going to install left side because not even heat and a impact driver would get left side driver mount bolt out…lol.

Also… Harley sissy bar and backrest

Also DK Customs 1.5” tank lift with deuce option for rear of tank

My Freewheeler has a hard time going back into the garage. I have to use a lot of willpower to twist the throttle and force it in.

That really looks sharp set up like that. I couldn't ride my '21 Free without my Memphis Shades batwing fairing and windshield and I never had a windshield on any bike I've ever owned in 50+ years, but there's something about the position or the front end of the Free's that made it a must for me. I didn't have it for a month before I bought the fairing.

That’s a great look Big I … I love the black chrome rest and rack. The Trike looks very throwback very vintage classic look that I like to think I was able to keep with my 17 Free.

Great look stay safe

Man, it took me about 10 minutes at 65-70mph to figure out a windshield was in my future …lol…on order!!!
