I have a 2008 Harley Ultra Classic Roadsmith conversion that we love. I have decided I want to change the bars and after reading quite a few post have settled on Khromewerks 2+2 narrow sweepers. I have looked and if already mentioned, sorry for asking again, but to anyone who has done this conversion did you have to extend brake and clutch lines or could you use stock? Thanks

I have been doing some research on non trike information for my 2008 and looks like it is potentially possible to install without and changes if I reroute. Clutch cable will be the tight spot. I am going to add a +2 clutch cable. For the roughly $70 seems like a simple guarantee that I can keep everything routed in the factory locations and not risk binding the cable. Also since the current cable is 17 years old not a bad upgrade anyway. I have enough money into this machine that this seems like a no brainer and non issue in my mind. I will update once I install in a few weeks.

On your '08, installing the 2+2 narrow sweepers can be installed without changing anything, just re-route your clutch cable. I've done them, and several here have posted so as well. Wiring extensions are the biggest PITA, but that is not an issue with these bars. Maybe give it a shot before ordering the cable. But I will add..if you are more comfortable changing the clutch cable, do what YOU want.

Thank you for the confirmation!! I saw a lot of information on the 14+ bikes but had a hard time finding for the pre 2013. I will give it a shot for sure!

Finished the install. Raining all weekend but hope to get it out soon and test. These bars feel a lot better sitting on the bike. I rotated them forward to where they are just touching the fairing and then backed off 1/8” for a little clearance. I rerouted the clutch cable and used the stock brake line as mentioned. Brake line is tight but not bound up anywhere. Originally, I was going to run all the wiring internal but decided to just leave external like it was stock. Thanks for all the guidance.

Finally got a chance to get out this weekend and these bars are a game changer for sure. Really give the Trike a different feel. I like them a lot. Have a 1200 mile trip through central Idaho later this week and can’t wait!
