Trike camping anyone?

No Grins here ... A whole lot of shaking my head in disbelief though!!

I've camped in almost every possible method but I think a line has to be drawn somewhere.....

I think the concept is brilliant. Street cred = Zero. But a great idea.

This comes from someone who when we got married 35 years ago had a similar thing. Honda made a little van called a TN 360. It looked like a scaled down truck with a 2 seat cab at the front & a cargo box at the back. 360cc engine & no syncro box. The back was big enough for a single mattress (who needs bigger when you are first married ) We had lights, cupboards & shelves in the back. A roof rack that held a tarpaulin & bulky gear.

50 mph cruising speed and insanely cheap to run. We had it for years and took it everywhere. Flogged it mercilessly and it never failed us.

Even put knobbly rally tyres on it and used it in motocarna competition.

Don't think I would even fit in one now. A good married life has its costs.

We've tried all manner of holidays. Motorhome, caravan, camper trailer, campervan and tenting, made use of motels if the weather turns foul though.

These days we tow a trailer behind the trike. Camping gear inside and strapped on the hard top. This keeps the overnight costs to a minimum and leaves more money to travel further. High priority given to comfortable chairs, beds & tent.

I love camping... If you mean An RV that is no less then 40 feet long has TV screens, dvd player, A/C , Heat a stove, Micro wave a queen size bed and is filled with playboy play mates.. I'm in!ThumbUp

If you mean a sleeping bag, tent and my wife? I'll get back to you on that one!

As I mentioned above we have tried the " Let's get away from it all by taking it all with us" path. Yes,it's very nice but limiting when trying to get to some out of the way places. "Horses for courses" as the saying goes.
