It has been our tradition to go on a local ride on Christmas day. We have been doing this since moving down here over 10 years ago. This year it will be a nice 81 degrees however I have had severe sciatica for three weeks so the ride will be a short one.

Anyone else spend part of their Christmas day on their bike?

Well, maybe sitting on it in the shed while looking out the window at the snow & ice on the ground!

I’ve been a good boy this year and hopefully mama bear sneaked a peak at my wishlist and got me a Freedom Shields Touring windshield that I’ll be putting on!

Well my bikes not going anywhere. I forgot to drain the summer air and replace it with winter air. Yup so now they're flat on the bottom. In case you don't know summer air freezes. Anyway you can't add winter air to summer air, they won't mix. This causes your tires feel lumpy going down the road. I'll have to wait till they thaw out. Since summer air is lighter than winter air, I'm trying to figure out the ratio of summer air to winter air. Hmm hope this doesn't fire up the old nitrogen vs air debate again.

Sometimes we do...sometimes it is cold, and that is ok, but cold and wet, we don't.

Enjoy your weather! Right now we are looking at 54, which is great, and 60% chance of rain...so, we'll see.

New Years Day is the day I ride, regardless of the weather.

Decided to do a ride this afternoon instead of Christmas day. The thing about sciatica is it comes and goes depending on your body position. A couple miles down the road I realized that lifting my left heel to shift was very uncomfortable. Road across town to Bert's Black Widow Harley and back, that was all I could handle. Looks like my ride will sit idle until after the MRI.
