What did you do to Your Tri-Glide Today?

Put a new Michelin Commander II on the front of mine Saturday. I also had the 30k service done, all 3 holes changed and filled with Redline and logged my

10,000th mile in 9 months on my Trike. I'm hoping to hit at least 20k in September by the one year mark on the 18th.

Getting ready to wash all the west side bugs off. Then I need to do all 3 holes with some fresh oils. Have 3 weeks off before we head for Fla, for Natl Soccer Tourney. Our grandson is playing. At this point we are not sure if we come back to Ohio or head off somewhere else.:confused:

Well, 1/2 done. Bugs are off. Oil change will wait for the rain days next week. Too much to get caught up on after a 3 week road trip. :gah:

Picked up the trike from the dealer, new handlebars on and feeling good. Love the Redline products, the transmission really wasn't noisy but now it seems very quiet. I put the the Mighty Mites on and they finished the wiring, only an adapter plug was needed. Going for a breakfast run tomorrow to see how everything works out.

After three months of not getting rained on on the new Trike, I finally got baptized in I 10 early this morning:mad:. Rode into one of those late night summer downpours. Thankfully was close to an exit, hooked a u turn and rode back where it wasn’t raining. Pre- ride I dropped my rear tires to 22 psi as many recommend and it made a huge difference. I still se new aftermarket shocks and a lift kit in my future.

Looks good , how does it feel in the wind? I’ve had one on order for a couple months, like everyone else Freedom has experienced a material supply and labor issue but has kept me in the loop . I’m getting mine etched with an eagle, they’ve got some nice designs

I got it for my wife who gets wind buffering as a passenger. I have not had her on to test it. I rode it solo but I expect the curved design and increase in 2 inches to help. Good quality work on the windshield. I thought about the etching , asked to have the bar and shield etched but they said because of copyright issues they could no do it. I'll let you know how the it effects the passenger. Be Safe. BK

What bars did you have installed? Been waiting 3 mos for 2+2 sweepers still not in stock.

Hi Tom, just the HD 2" pullbacks were installed, those are what I had on my '15 and worked fine for me.

Just returned from ride on interstate. Noticeable difference but not a lot according to my wife. I could feel the wind about 4 inches above the 12 inch windshield which puts the air flow at about the top of my wife’s helmet. Radio turned down about 1-2 notches compared to the old 10 inch stock windshield. Be Safe BK

It will clean as the engine runs

Too much in the fuel will not hurt, it may make it smoke

I do a top end carbon cleaning with it, it works very good

You can actually run a small engine on straight SeaFoam;)

What Does Sea Foam Do?? How Much Do You Add. I Have Never Used It. Thanks

The manufacture recommends one Oz per gallon....If heavy cleaning is needed two Oz per gal of gasoline .....One thing i know on the ATV's at camp, When they sit for long periods the carburetors will gum up from stale gas and a triple dose of sea foam cleans them out in no time...ThumbUp...

The stuff Kinna reminds me of when we cleaned engine parts with kerosine they came out spotless...

It can be used as a top end cleaner, fuel stabiliser, you can add it to your engine oil before an oil change to clean out the oil galleries, and sludge in the oil pan and bottom of the crank case

I got a bad tank of gas last week while riding out in the Badlands of SD. Tri Glide would barely run, sputtering along. At first I thought of spark plugs coming loose, or plug wires coming loose. Checked em, nope. Mary asked if we had any Sea Foam.

Ever since we got a bad tank of fuel a few years ago I always carry a can of Sea Foam with me.

Dumped the whole can in there and within a couple of minutes it cleared up and was running fine, and we continued our ride thru the Badlands.

Good stuff!

Well after our friend on the trip west, had his tour pack lid snatched out of his hand by the wind & cracked his tour pack, I ordered this as soon as we got home. Ultra Brace for the tour pack. Holds lid very steady & I doubt the wind will affect it. $80 is cheaper than a busted tourpack. [FONT=Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif]

Jack,

Should I add Seafoam to a cold engine then ride for a few miles or add 100 miles before an oil change?
