If you buy a brand new Goldwing triked from a dealer, Are there any problems getting it fixed if it need a warranty repair? Wondering how Honda would deal with it?

I heard some people had warranty problems having a trailer hitch installed on a regular Wing.

Wondering what Honda thinks of a trike

If mother Honda discovers you triked it, you will have no warranty! If you buy it from a Honda dealer, that dealer MIGHT cover it.

Also, most Dealers are not equipped to work on trikes and will refuse to do so.

It would benefit you to check with a big Honda dealer who does trike conversions on new Gold Wings.. like Honda of Russellville in Russellville, OK. There is another big dealer in Shawnee, OK I believe..cant think of the name right now.

Also you could call a trike manufacturer directly like California Sidecar, Hannigan, Roadsmith or Motor Trike.

I know Harley will void the warranty if they find evidence of a trailer hitch on the vehicle... I have never heard this about Honda... however it might be true now with the new Gold Wings... yet another question to ask a big bike/trike dealer.

I love my Gold Wing trike but...

This whole discussion is yet another reason I keep looking at the Can-Am Spyder..particularly now the 2020...they have finally gotten rid of the wormhole rear trunk which was useless and put a regular tour pak style trunk on the RT. Plus..they changed something about the seating position and made it very comfortable even for big guys or long legged folks. Yep...come on stock market...:D
