I hope everyone is doing fine since I last checked in. Since I last posted I was home for a very short 12 day R&R. While there I...well let's just say a rolling stone gathers no moss...and I did my best to stimulate the economy.

As a lot of you know I was in the market for a Stallion...but since that fell thru (no 2011's...for now) I went ahead and became the proud owner of a 2010 Triumph 1700 Thunderbird and a 2011 Ford F150 Lariat instead.

I have posted two new photo albums of these so you all can look at them at them if you like.

I had entertained a notion of trying to sneak into the Trike gathering in June but since my company won't pay for my ticket till I have 180 days on my new contract I can't fly out of here till June 28th...I have this thing about not particularly wanting to pay my own way back by leaving any earlier.

So I will miss out on this years fun but I do wish I could have been there if everything would have lined up just right...it just wasn't in the cards...sorry.

I am going on a two part vacation still but will visit the western side of the Mississippi first and on the way back I may try and stop in at the Stallion factory in Troup, TX and see if I can get any further enlightenment on the status of a possible 2012 model and if I get any news I'll be happy to pass it along.

I still think there will be a new one coming and maybe in another year or two I may be able to take the plunge on one at that time.

I wish you all the best...I will still hang out ocassionally and throw in a comment or two if I can.

Enjoy the new pics.

Dennis by the time you get there the 2012 production might be up and running if all goes well with the new 2.5 engine. The modifactions for a fit have allready started they are working on them. They fully expect an early release of the 2012 Stallion.

Dennis, if you come across the southern route and up IH-35, let us know - we're about 30 minutes from Temple, TX (directly on 35) and would love to welcome you home. Or if you come to Fort Hood, we're five minutes from the main gate. Either way, be safe, short-timer!

Thanks, we'll keep that in mind. Currently on our way back from the Grand Canyon we'll be stopping in Amarillo, TX for the night then heading for Shreveport, LA the next day. If it's along that way and along our "flight path" (we'll probably be pretty "road weary" by that time and in a hurry to get home) we'll see along with the proposed stop at the factory.

Dennis, you are welcome here whether or not you have that trike you were dreaming of! But your new rides are great too --- thanks for sharing them!

Ted,
I hope you're right, in that everything goes well with the 2012 Stallion and an earlier release date is in the forecast. I've had my order in since June 9th... It was tough missing the riding season last year (didn't make the cut for a 2010 model). It will be even tougher if I have to miss this years, as well.:AGGHH: Snow can come early here and stay till mid to late April.:Snow: I'm still on the fence as to buying new vs. used. To those I've communicated with that still have their Stallions for sale, thank you for your patience and photos. The Stallion needed a larger engine like it needed a 4th wheel. I realize the situation TMS found themselves in and their limited choices. Glad they stuck with Ford and a proven/reliable power plant. I've been waiting to see an announcement if there is any change in the base price. It's already $3000+ over what my invoice reads. Price will be the deciding factor for me, as with most things.
