Favorite Vacation Destination

I enjoy riding out west the most. I am fascinated by Death Valley and the adjacent areas. Sadly, based the last MRI of my back, my long distance riding days are over. From here on out, it's going to be by car or SUV. Sucks but, it is what it is.

Sorry to hear you’re having back issues. Wife and I really enjoy the western states most. Lots of traveling in Az Ut Co Mt Ca Or Wy.

Favorite vacations for us are anything involving a cruise ship.

We've been to Alaska twice, Hawaii twice, cruised out of New York to Halifax, Nova Scotia farthest north, then several ports on the way back south. Most recently, back in September, we went to the western Caribbean. Ports there included Honduras, Belize, and Cozumel and Costa Maya in Mexico.

Overall the first Hawaiian cruise we went on was our favorite. That was back when we were both young and had no children. When you have two special needs children, a cruise is a lot of work (not that I'd ever turn one down because of that:D).

ETA: Another senior moment! This is supposed to be on a trike! OOPS!!

Have done the cruises also. Lots of fun. I live to eat..... so that makes any cruise anywhere fun if they have 24 hr food service 🥐🥓🍳🍤🥞🍗🌮🍪☕

So my question is this. How well are the cruise ships enabled to handle special needs children ? Imho, it is fantastic that y'all are able to take the girls.

Bad thing I noticed over the past few years is the increase in traffic. I am seeing more and more pull behinds and motor homes. Cody has become a nightmare to navigate at times. Ditto Yellowstone. I've gone through there in late September and the roads are still clogged. This past Sept, I had some fool in a SUV stop in the middle of my lane so his wife could get out to take pictures of the buffalo. Other lane was blocked by several that did the same thing.

:cxtv: What color and maker was that SUV....

I wish everyone would get out of the way so I can get a good pic before the Herd is gone...

I try to make sure l’m not blocking traffic or about to cause an accident when I stop. Have got some great pics during trike vacations and have missed a lot more cause it wasn’t safe to stop or slow down to get a second look.

The best part of any vacation is the day you return home safely.

Funny ......... There were plenty of places to pull off and park. What stinks is when people strop in the middle of both lanes. It's not as if there is only one herd in Yellowstone.

I'm betting the big tour bus operators saw no price increase. They bring in way too much money for the parks gift shops and other concessionaires. Got stuck behind several of them in Glacier Nat'l Park several years ago with the wife. She was none to impressed. When we got to the top and they pulled into the visitors center, she said keep going. She was more interested with the small mission on the Indian reservation. She likes that kind of thing.

I Haven't had the pleasure to take a bus trip sitting next to the great unwashed....Did ride in a few cattle cars in B-T.. And i almost took the Dog from Tacoma to NYC...But instead i hitched a ride on a C130 Milk run to the east coast... .....

Riding a “Tour” bus is NOT my ideal of touring. I’m to independent or stubborn to let so

else drive:xszpv:

Rode the “DOG “ from Jackson Ms to Ft Collins Co. And from Madisonville Ky to Augusta Ga. I’m a lot older and I hope smarter now :xzqxz:

Hadn’t thought about it until now,but both times it was relative to a Greyhound bus I had. First time was from Madisonville Ky to Augusta Ga. Purchased it from a dealer there and went there to get it. Did a coach conversion. Wife and I and our 3 sons lived and traveled in it for 2 yrs. While in Ft Collins Co. I sold it to retired couple who thought they wanted to be full time rvers. Bout 3 months later they decided they liked home away from wheels so I bought it back. Rode the “Dog” out from Jackson Ms. Drove it back to Booneville Ms and sold it to a lawyer :D If I could close a deal like that again....

I’d be at the bus station tonight 💰
