Newbie question

Hi...let me introduce myself....I am a new Harley owner of a 2017 Harley sportster. (always wanted to be a Harley chick-but years ago they didn't have it to where u could change the automatic) I was thrilled when I went into my local Harley dealership and said I was looking for a Harley/w a trike kit and have it changed to automatic shifting ( I have an artificial leg since I was four--left)...I told the salesman how much I could afford a month w/the accomodations and he said I was approved. In the end, I have a brand new Harley sportster that has none of the accomodations to it, and I will have to find another loan to pay for the trike kit and the automatic shifting attachment. Very frustrated, I have been looking for used trike kits, because spending another 5000.00 for a trike kit is more than I can handle paying.. I found a towpac insta trike w/12 inch wheels. so my question is.....do these insta trike's fit on just any bike? And will it fit mine?

welcome aboard Tina. According to the Towpac web site http://towpacusa.com/product/instatrike/ They do not support converting their product from one app to another. Thats not to say that someone who is talented at fabrication could not make it work. I had one on a Suzuki Burgman 650 scooter and it was great. Good luck

Before you start trike shopping & trying to figure out funding.. Start here, they may not be able to "help you get into a trike", but they should be able to give you some direction for possible assistance.

Try a conversion kit,I have a Voyager easy install,I've had mine for 4 yrs with no problems.About a third of the cost of a full conversion.Enjoy.

IMO, I would not get a tow pack on YOUR harley.... I know money is tight, but always remember, you USUALLY get what you pay for....buy cheap, get cheap. Good luck on your seatch, my prayers are with you. My kit is from Motor Trike, and is very well made with 3 years or 60,000 mile warranty.
