Question from newbie

I'm 48, disabled and have been trying desperately to come up with the cash to buy my first trike, but I keep running into tumbling blocks over which trike to buy now I'm finding that very few bikes come with a reverve gear. I can afford a Goldwing or Can Am Spyder. How do other disabled riders back their trikes up? Can you modify a Burgman? Should I go with a VW? I'm at a loss now and I'm ready to give up!

Hello Robert. Welcome to TrikeTalk!
Goodness, don't give up yet!!!! Reverse is something that can be added to most trikes. There are a couple of options, and some of the members here can make recommendations to you about that. Hang in there.... answers and ideas are on the way! You are in the right place here :).

Parked properly you will never need rev. Always park so your bike is facing out. This may mean to pull thru that parking space. or let gravity back it in to the spot. CAREFUL planning. IF you should GOOF someone is always willing to give you a push . Unlike a 2 wheel bike the trike can be easily moved bay even the smallest person even with you on it.

Robert welcome to the forum, please do not get flustrated. There are a lot choices out there and if you take your time ask questions (we will all answer as best we can) pretty soon the fog will clear and you will be able to make an educated decision.
