The Trike Talk Northeast Rally for 2017 will be held in Windham, NY, starting on Thursday Aug 24th through Sunday Aug 27. Please click here to register so we can get an idea of how many are attending.

Windham is central to the Catskill region and is easily reached by major highways or secondary roads in the area.

Our host hotel is The Hotel Vienna located at 107 State Route 296 just off of Rt 23. Please call the hotel directly at 518-734-5300 and tell them you are with the trike group. Prices for rooms are higher in this area and the rooms are running $126.00 for a standard room on the first floor and $141.00 for a deluxe room which includes a Jacuzzi tub and a outside balcony with mountain views.

The hotel has a separate building with a pool and hot tub and an area to hang out after. The entire hotel is being blocked out for us until July so get your rooms early, if we sell out the place, the owner will make alternate arrangements in a nearby hotel. If anyone wants to stay longer, make sure you tell the owner this so your room is saved.

A continental breakfast will be provided starting as early as 7:00am for early risers so we don't have to wait around while someone cooks breakfast. For those that want a full breakfast, there are several options nearby.

Please pm me and let me know when you have registered at the hotel.

For those who want to camp, there are options in the area, one is Whip a Will campground which is not far from the hotel.

Nice job

Great job. I can't reg yet. Can't ask for time off until Feb. I plan on staying 3 days as the 3rd. Is 1/2 price so I have heard. A lot to see in the area. Have not been to Howe Caverns in years(30 or more) also don't know occupancy yet ;)

Who is going

Can we see who is going ? Who has registered for the rally not the motel or both.

I registered. But to go view activity I have to re register ? I'm on the planning committee !

Anytime you open the registration page by clicking on the red link, there are two tabs on the top of the page, one is the form to fill out, the other is a tab that is called responses. Click on that tab and you will see the complied list. You don't have to re-register to see it.

I get nothing

I only get a few names with people asking questions. I cannot see anyplace to reg or other people that are attending. Something is wrong

I'll have to check that out, I haven't looked at it for a while. I think Randy had some issues with his server that is messing up a lot of messages so not sure if that is the cause or not.

The server does not affect the registration page as it is offsite and on Google Docs. I thought it was was set up by Cheri as she normally handles the NE Registration details, but not sure. I will ask Marge to take a look at it when I get home shortly and will report back.

I was the one who set up the form on Goggle drive, Sheri handled the link. I looked at it on Friday but with the winter storms we have had the last couple of days, I didn't get a chance to look at it again. I did make a change in it that screwed it up but that shouldn't affect the link. I'll try to look tonight and correct it.

I finally had a chance to look at the registration, something was messed up with that, it looked like someone tried to register a while back but it locked up for some reason. I fixed the registration page on Goggle Docs but if you click on the red link it points you to the page that can be edited and not the live form. Once in the live form I can enter names and info like it was at first. I'm not sure how that can be changed, not seeing anything that stands out to me. I sent a PM to Cheri to look into it.

This site refused to let me in for a week
I was John Luciano for 15 years. Now won't recognise password I would like it back.

Hey John, all you had to do was ask. I just received a message from you via your new elmerfudd username a few minutes ago notifying me that there was a problem.

Your password has been reset and I sent you the temp password via PM to elmerfudd. Dont ever hesitate to call or text me if you ever have any issue, you know my phone number. ThumbUp

The original now works

I did a new registration using the original . I can see who is attending on the new one you just posted

OK sounds good, I wasn't sure because I made the form and it could just be it opens up in the design page for me. As long as it is working now we have to push getting the word out.

Attending

Doug, can you edit the registration page to show me as No for staying at the hotel? I'll be there at least one or two days, but will have to commute by cage. :( No money for staying over, but don't want to miss the chance to see everyone!!

Sorry Doug, I meant to remove me completely. I can't commit to it this year (although I may still try to get out there one day for a visit). :(

Just booked the hotel for me and the missus. Plan on getting there a day early on Wed Aug 23rd. Went through the TT registration page. All signed up there but can't view anything but statistics. Hey, 3 months ahead of time. Pretty good for me. Thank my boss. He sent out an email asking what dates everyone wanted to take off this summer. So I rushed to jump ahead of everyone else. What a weasel.

Great to hear you and our wife are coming.....are you heading there direct on Wednesday or staying in the Torrington area, I'm heading there on Thursday so if you do stay near here let me know.

For that direction, I will probably just leave after rush hour (like I would stand a chance of getting Dianne out before rush hour) and go the NYC route straight up. Besides, the ferry just raised the rates for me by over 50%. They now officially state any bike with more than 2 wheels is a $46 charge. Instead of the $30 they had been charging me. So aside from the extra $100 they will make per year, I noticed this morning that they have purged most of the long time dock workers. I'm sure lower salaries for newbies wasn't the reason.

OK, all done with the rant I was on. For now.

Not as big as I hoped

We have a nice group this year. Won't be unmanageable" I rode last Sun with a group of 10 bikes and it was a nice non stressful ride. If we get more we will have to break into groups., right now I still don't have a very good head count. Maybe Doug can call and get names of who is signed in at the motel. Looks to me like 12 trikes 22 people.

We will have trophies and raffle. We are planning a dinner get together and a farewell breakfast. At least one group ride ( destination will be discussed at first meeting. )

if you read this ,if you could , please post and just say "I'll be there." " Or can't make it "

a lot of planning has gone into this. Thanks Doug and Karen .. It is even harder when u are just guessing on attending people.. Restaurants want to know how many. It is only weeks away now. It is crunch time.

Me and Dianne will be there. Hopefully my hand is fully recovered from tendon surgery by then (feels good 4 days after surgery, but all bandaged up). Driving my truck in rush hour is killing me...and I can't use bandaged hand to give middle finger to deserving drivers.:qpnmt:
