Idle issue

My 2017 Tri Glide just turned 3600 miles and this last week i have noticed that it is starting to surge on idle,now I know that the idle has been lowered to around 850.But after it has gotten up to temp when pulling up to a stop it will drop to around 500 then up to 1000 then back down to 500 then it will go back up to 1000 the settle in around 850.Going to call the dealer today and see if i can get it in this week,got a trip planned for Memorial Day weekend.Other than slip ons it is all stock.Anyone else experience this.

If its any help ...Apples to Oranges ?... My Victory started to do the same....Right after i opened the pipes up a little..[Might of leaned the mixture a little]... Plugged them back up and all is well...:Shrug:

Have had the pipes on this since day one,just now started doing it.I can already hear the dealer tell me i need to do a tune,well i will but it will be with a power vision at my garage.Cant take it in until June 3 they are that busy damn.

On 2017 models with the M8 stock rpm settings is 850rpm when comepletly warmed up.

Idle Issues

Not sure you received an answer mirider. The adjustments are made by accessing the computer on the trike.

Mine idles around 850 and I don't like it at all! I would change it to 1050 if I could....no tuner yet

When I take it in In June I will ask them about running the idle up to 1000

Checked my 2014 today and when warm, idles at about 1000 rpm. According to what I found in the owners manual, that is right on. ThumbUp

The M8's....Are set at 850...From the Factory...

I think HD's "fix" is to flash the ECM. Read that somewhere. Hope the flash is free. Also hope it fixes my intermittent idiot oil light.
