So it's another yucky, drizzling, weekend here in the Dallas, TX area. This is getting old  Great riding weather during the week with temps in the mid 70's and sunny. Sadly, the mornings are still in the mid 40's which makes the ride to work a bit to chilly for me with the meds I'm on. I know it's the beginning of spring. I simply want to get out and ride. It is such great therapy for me. Please forgive my rant. I needed to vent. :)

This morning I smelled the scent of Spring in the air in Illinois. The forsythia's are leafing yellow, the lilac is beginning to bloom and the roses are branching. Winter is entering hibernation. :)

Still pretty much winter here in North Dakota. It is 50 degrees right now and mostly sunny and a pretty nice day. Trouble is tomorrow the high will be 46 and rain in the morning then the cold front comes in about noon and the temps drop into the 20's and snow. High for Tuesday is 28 and going down to a high of 15 on Wednesday. It's usually the first or second week of April before the trike comes out of storage.

That is one of the reasons I turned down a job with Borg Warner's auto parts division so many years ago. I used to love winter as a kid. Now in my early 70's, winter seems to affect my system in negative ways.

I have lived in so many parts of the world but Kansas was at the very bottom of my list. Alaska was at the very top. Year around activity, just had to dress for it. It was nothing to be zipping along on the snowmobile at 20 below.

As age happens I enjoy the warm/dry climates. I may have to become a snow birder from New Mexico. Jim

So there's a rumor, a tall tale if you like... that Texas is a great place to hang your hat :D

Spring is just around the corner, it just feels like the corners are a lot farther apart these days. Happy riding everyone when you get a chance:D.

67 degrees yesterday, blizzard today. I'm just on the edge, getting the wind, 36-48 MPH, but little snow. So I'm in a 'Winter Weather Advisory that says "It SUCKS out there!"

Did get the Dyna out for a nice ride yesterday...
