trailor hitch freewheeler

Looking for a trailer hitch for my 2016 freewheeler not to pull a trailer but to put a rack on to haul luggage. best place to look.
Thanks in advance
Mike

Bought mine from MotorTrike conversions. Had to do again I'd go to the HD dealership and buy it from them. I'd do this because of all the warranty issues HD jumps up and down about. I'd even try and get them to install it. Just saying !!!!

Make it easily removable as long as you have warranty on the bike.
Even if you have no intention of ever towing a trailer, HD WILL void your warranty if you show up w/one on your trike. Especially if you have a drive train failure.

I didn't know that HD sold a hitch - seems contrary to their previous policies. If you have a part number pls share - Russ

Go look at their aftermarket parts books on their parts counters.....all kinds of trailer hitches.

I suggest an ATV basket for the hitch. I have one of these that I use on my Wrangler. It raises the luggage up to a level higher than the bottom of the rear tire. That way the basket will not drag on the ground when I am out in rough country. I bought mine at Harbor Freight and paid about $50

I went to Harbor Freight and picked up one of their aluminum receiver hitch luggage carriers and a hitch adapter to take it down to the proper size. I narrowed the aluminum rack so it was inside the rear fenders. The receiver hitch I used has a 7" rise in it so my exhaust doesn't cause any heat problems on what ever I'm carrying. Use it to Sturgis and back this year and worked like a champ. Carried my tent, tent poles/stakes, air mattress, bedroll (appx 40#) with no problems.
