Late nighters---unite!!!

I raised the height of my bars today. Just went about ten miles on a back road. I think I'm gonna like it that way. Easier to lock your elbow and push. Will know more when I get some more saddle time in.

I put my left side heat shield back on also. Didn't notice any temp. drop on the PV tuner screen and DID notice more heat on the left side at stop lights. Got the Wards fans installed today but not enough miles to see what they do. The hardest part of the job (other than waiting for the RTV to cure) was finding the two #@%$# screws I dropped into the chassis.

I have noticed that also, every time I drop a nut, bolt or washer, it ends up in a place I didn't know existed. IT's amazing how they can bounce around and end up 2 feet from where you dropped them.

:gah:

The motor in my 1995 Dixon zero turn mower is kaput. It was spewing a mixture of oil and gas from the breather like a geyser. What to do, what to do, rebuild it, buy a new motor, or buy a new mower.

Thank You, Obama Administration for injecting encouragement to the criminal mentality. The drums of war are beating and getting louder by the day.

He's got those black lives matters idiots doing just what he wants. Cause rioting so police have to use force so they start shooting everyone in sight. That way he can declare Marshal Law. He has to now that Hillary has been exposed for being inept with government secrets. This is the only way he can keep turning the country over to the muslims. Just look at Turkey. That's exactly where this country is headed. It will take the Vietnam vets to help now cause I'm not sure any of the later are willing to give it their all. JMHO

I believe a great start is with what I can do. I will do at least one good deed a day without even thinking about doing the good deed or needing praise for doing the good deed. My promise to myself. Jim

We are doing one of the simpler things in life right now. We're at a drive-in theater.

Not or many of them left in the country.

What you watching
We saw The Secret Life of Pets and Ghostbusters. The first sucked and the second was pretty good. At least they weren't trying to make it a carbon copy of the original Ghostbusters with Bill Murray.

On the way home, one of the brand new tires I had put on Thursday blew out while we were on the interstate traveling at 75mph!!

The only thing I can say is God Himself steered the van, because it went back and forth across 2 lanes almost into the median before we came to a stop on the shoulder. We then had to wait on the side of the road for a tire change assist for almost 3 hours. The guy doing it had a really difficult time changing it too. I'm glad I didn't attempt it. It took 2 jacks to do the job.

Glad that blowout didn't have a bad ending. I have seen some nasty ones in this part of the country. Long straight roads and lots of speed, has caused many deathly accidents. Jim

Glad you guys are ok. Unusual about a new tire unless it was over inflated. Blowouts don't usualy happen any more !
Was looking forward to seeing the Pets movie. Good commercials .

Glad everyone is ok.... Its rare to even get a flat tire now days 'Let alone a blow-out.. Back in the late 50's an in the 60's i became an expert in changing flats and or plugging them on the road... Back then the roads were filled with people on the side of the road changing flats...And also with over heated radiators...
Car's have come a long way since then....ThumbUp

You all won't believe this--cause I was flabbergasted myself. Went down to the tire place where I bought the tire that blew up. The 'boss' got on the phone with his boss for a few minutes, then when he got off the phone, he told me to get two estimates to get the van fixed. Also replacing both tires I bought with tires double the price of the ones I bought.

So I felt kind of obliged to buy two more matching tires for the front. It just goes to show that there are businesses out there that stand behind what they sell, and are honorable.

Ever consider run flat tires ? If your van has a TPMS system, I'd do it. I had run flats installed on the wife's sedan just for that reason. We live way out in the country and a lot of fence clips and what not end up on our county roads.

I'm glad you are o.k. I know what you went through, having been there myself recently. Don't forget to include in your estimates, the cost of cleaning the brown stains off your seats. :qpnmt:

It is nice to still see stand up service these days. What tires were they?

I wish every business operated the way you operated yours. The world would be a better place if they did.
