Which conversion to get? Avoid?

Considering a GW trike. Reading these informative pages, I've learned of drive shaft problems and others. So simple question:

What year GW should I trike? Which should I avoid?

Which kit to use? Which kit(s) to avoid?

We'll be riding 2 Up and traveling.

Thanks so much

I tested and studied all the major brands. My and my wife's choice was the Hannigan. IRS, extended wheel base, wider stance, smoothest, least maintenance, rear end off set to align w/the Wing drive shaft output(no extreme angle for the shaft to run in)

We'll be riding 2 Up and traveling.
Your wife will thank you for the longer wheel base of a Hanningan. Much smoother ride for her!!!!

Thanks so much

I think he was suggesting that a 2006 and up Goldwing should be the choice to convert.

Nice. I PM'd you for more photos.

I wonder what he has against 2005 and below

Honda made a few changes between 05 & 06. The added premium audio with an amplifier (the most noticeable change). They also reinforced the weaker points on the motorcycle frames where they had seen cracking and changed the length of the output coming out of the back of the engine where the driveshaft fits.

I believe 'o6 was also the year the radiators were enlarged; better cooling.

As far as what conversion you will be getting alot of different opinions. But one of the most important is who you select as the person/company to do the conversion. A good installer makes the conversion work nice no matter which of the major brands. A bad installer will make the very very best conversion be a real hassle to deal with. That good installer will help you in making the right decision for what you need and are looking for. You are not that far from Houston Tx area where the owner of this site has a conversion business and handles several of the name brands. Suggest: you shoot Bazooka a PM and get some advise and maybe a conversion.

Absolutely correct. The installer is the key
