freewheeler tank lift

I have the DK 1 1/2 in tank lift with stock bars pulled back some and have no problem with clearance............I think if you go 2 in you will lose fuel capacity and won't be able to fill your tank..

I did 2" on my triglide

:AGGHH:I can't answer for a FW. I used the 2" deluxe from DK Customs, I had a lot of room on the OEM bars even more with the 2+2 sweepers. My fuel gauge never was that accurate anyway. ride safely fearless

Everyone adjusts their bars differently, and hangs different stuff off of them.

It is best to always test for clearance before ordering...you may very will be able to run a 2", but the only way to know is to test for clearance.

It is a 10 minute deal, and easy to check for clearance:

1. Take the bolts out of the front of your tank.

2. Loosen (do not remove) the bolts at the rear of your tank.

3. Turn your handlebars all the way to the left and raise the tank up your desired lift height to check for clearance issues.

4. Turn your handlebars all the way to the right and raise the tank up your desired lift height to check for clearance issues.
Be careful when lifting your tank, you do not want to hit against something (forks, handlebars, trees, blinkers, etc.) when checking for clearance. If you use the Deluxe Option with the 2" you will not lose any tank capacity.

There are no fuel line changes needed with the Freewheeler. The kit fits all touring models back to 1999 and the older models had fuel crossover tubes that need replacing when lifting the tank. Your Freewheeler does not.
