In case you didn't know, there is a heavy duty sway bar available for the HT1800 and HT1800S kits. I don't know about the 1500 or other brands of bikes.

My trike was equipped with the standard sway bar. Unfortunately, I was told I had the Heavy Duty sway bar; a story I need not go into. Anyway, after four years I found this out and immediately ordered the Heavy Duty sway bar from Roadsmith for $99. This is the best money I have spent in a long time!:pepper:

I live and ride in the Arkansas twisties and co-rider and I both heavy. (Details not important.);) The new sway bar dramatically reduced the body roll in curves allowing easier steering, better control, and higher speeds with comfort and safety.

I installed it in two hours start to finish with the aid of this excellent post:

The standard sway bar is 5/8" diameter and the HD is 3/4". If you want to really improve your Roadsmith's handling in the curves and twisties then give this a close look.

Yep changed mine out also some time back..... really think the HD Sway Bar should be the standard sway bar as stock, then adjust tire pressures and Pre-Load down but in mhgoldwings case his Pre-Load is the Accuride System and is automatic..... I opted for the Manual Dash Adjusted Pre-Load.... I think his has gone haywire a number of times.... mine never has and rarely gets adjusted.. But just my opinon..... its still the Best Kit IMO

Actually, due to three shock blowouts due to a faulty sensor (just learned this from RS) I switched back to coil over shocks. I'm done with air systems. Since I had the Accuride System to begin with I did not have the ability to change preload from the dash. But that's ok because my load stays pretty much the same all the time and this way I have nothing to worry about.

However, I will tell you that manually adjusting these shocks is a royal PITA for an old fat guy.

From one Fat Guy to another that why I stuck with the manual adjuster, I don't trust automatic stuff...

Won't Roadsmith send parts to the installer for repair?, I know you've been screwing with this for a while been watching your reports, Bikerbillone only has the same thing you have now and he's going to the top setting to try and kill the body roll, that all he has.. At least you have the correct Roadsmith frame, he would have to re-kit just to add the manual Pre-Load Adjuster plus his installer thru all his parts away.... ouch!!

He needs the HD sway bar and it will resolve his body roll problems.
